Seung-hyun "Andy" Han (한승현)
20 (Birthday: 1st December)
Andy is basically his nickname.
Father - Han Ji-hu (한지후)
Mother - Han Min-seo (한 민서)
Standing at 6"2, Andy is slim with a long build. He has fawn coloured skin, with dark, inky-black eyes. His hair is straight, jet-black, and hangs long enough to cover his eyebrows, which are thick and bushy. His hair has slowly been growing to the point that it's long enough to tie back into a small ponytail, if you will. He also has dimples in both of his cheeks.
He was born with only his right hand, and switches between using a prosthetic hand and not using one. He went through a phase of hating his prosthetic hand and he didn't start wearing it until he was 12, in which he would wear it any time out of the house. It was mainly to avoid standing out and those same repetitive questions and remarks that he'd hear over and over again. After he became and angel, he switched between wearing a prosthetic and going without, depending on how he was feeling. He later got a permanent, hi-tech prosthetic hand given to him towards the end of the series, when he was 22.
At first, Andy comes across as being pretty shy. He stutters a lot due to nervousness, even if he can't exactly explain why. He tends to take a back seat in conversations, and blends in with the scenery, without realising. However, it's really just because he never has a lot to say. Andy's a naturally quiet person, but once he's in a small group or one-on-one, he's pretty chatty and has a good sense of humour.
Andy can be very stubborn most of the time, and it can be very difficult to make him change his mind about something once he's settled on a opinion. Especially after Leon's death, much like the rest of the group, Andy has difficulty thinking clearly, and this is even worse after Noah and Kaye's deaths. He ends up very reckless and mentally unstable, almost completely forgetting the real reason why they're fighting the Demons in the first place. Aware that he's pretty much a walking rage monster - and out of fear that he'll kill anyone else - he sits out fighting in the war. Instead, he opts to help out in a private organisation which involves evacuating innocents and building safe houses. He does eventually come back, but ultimately, he avoids fighting.
Gay. He struggled with it for a long time, since his parents were openly homophobic, and Andy knew that he could absolutely never come out to them. Even though he doesn't have to worry about that so much anymore, he was still uncomfortable with his sexuality for a very long time. He didn't come out to any of his friends - with the exception of Kaye - until he started dating Noah.
His voice is very soft and soothing. He has a fairly strong Korean accent, though it's been kind of withering away.
Andy was born in Seoul (South Korea) to his two wealthy South Korean parents. He was born was only right hand, and switched between using a prosthetic hand, and going without one, usually opting to use a prosthetic hand in public.
As a child, Andy was painfully shy, to the point that he would go out of his way to avoid social interaction at all costs. The friends that he made were usually people that he'd been paired up with in class, or family friends that he had been introduced to. Even the 'friends' that he did have, weren't really considered true friends, and instead, felt obligatory.
Andy knew that he was gay from a young age, though he had never even hinted at it to anyone. His parents (among other family members) were openly homophobic, and Andy knew that he could never reveal his sexual orientation to them. Instead, opting to give the excuse that he's focusing on his studies, whenever questioned about his lack of dating.
Andy's relationship with his parents was very vague, and he wasn't as close to them as he'd like to have been. He constantly felt like he wasn't a good enough son, and avoided his parents out of fear that he'd only disappoint them even more.
He became even more distant from his parents, when his mother died from a genetic heart disease, of which he hadn't known until her death, when he was 14. Angry at the fact that his parents had kept this from him, Andy isolated himself even more, avoiding being at home, even if it meant having to stay after school until he was literally kicked out. Andy himself died from the same heart disease at the age 17. Andy was naturally confused and upset when he was reborn but slowly accustomed to it and loved his new-found freedom in his life.
Weapon of Choice: He's most comfortable with a classic longsword. It's always been his favourite weapon, and the one that he's most comfortable with by far. He also utilities a lot kicks during combat and he certainly prefers fighting up-close, while Wesley prefers fighting from a distance. Though Andy is not at all a bad flier, he is certainly notably slower than his peers. He is a far better ground fighter, than anything, and he uses this to his advantage.
Andy starts off the series at 20 years old, and turns 21 about halfway through the first book. He turns 22 in the third book, and 23 in the fifth book.
Does your character collect anything?
He has a drawer full of Hien's drawings, all of which are given to him by Hien personally.

He's really just a button up and jeans kind of person. He also has a thing for clothes with cool and unique patterns on them, though by far, his favourite colour to wear is light blue.

Iris - Goo Goo Dolls
Deadly sin that best represents them?
Wrath. Oh so much.
Special skills / talents?
Who would have known that he's good at building?
Moderate. Though after Noah dies, it's pretty much non-existent.
Not being able to save Noah. He'll never get over it, and he refuses to fight in the war out of fear that he won't be able to save anyone else. He also feels that Kaye's death was entirely his fault, since he was too caught up in mourning over Noah to notice that she was just as mentally unstable.
Considering that he always spent so much time in them, trying to avoid social interaction and going home, he's always been fond of libraries.
Cheesecake. Andy loves cheesecake. It was always his go-to order whenever he and Noah went out.
The Lord of the Rings. The Return of the King to be specific.
A Labrador Retriever named Cookie in his past life, who largely acted as a service dog. He later gets another Labrador called Hermes, who assists him and provides him company as he silently gets on with his construction work.
He's most comfortable with a classic longsword. It's always been his favourite weapon, and the one that he's most comfortable with by far. He also utilities a lot kicks during combat and he certainly prefers fighting up-close, and Wesley prefers fighting from a distance.

How do they feel about love?
Because of his struggle accepting his sexuality, he tried to ignore it, and opted not to date for a long time. He was hesitant to date Noah, because he felt that he possibly be able to love him as much as he should.
Quote / catchphrase
"Some things just aren't worth fixing."
Seoul, South Korea.
Where they live now?
He and Taylor lived together until Taylor died, so he's pretty much lived in his own ever since. Though it's not uncommon for him to stay over at Noah's for a couple of days at a time. Half of his stuff is still at Noah's.
Music they listen to?
Any song with meaningful lyrics.
Taps feet and hand a lot. Also, biting his lip.
What turns them on?
Pretty smiles, people who'll listen & understand him without him having to constantly explain himself.
What turns them off?
Rudeness, arrogance, ignorance, and short tempers. And anyone who feels the need to constantly point out / bring up his prosthetic.
If they transitioned from their world to ours, how would they react?
Watch the Seoul skyline again.
People who constantly bring up and / or point out his prosthetic.
He can be extremely stubborn sometimes - he simply won't budge when it comes to his own actions and decisions, and takes forever to be convinced. Shyness and lack of confidence, though the former is far worse than the latter.
Kind of student if they attend/were to attend school? (e.g. class clown, straight A)
The quiet kid who was always first in class and the last to leave class. Practically lived in the library, and always seemed to be studying.
Andy used to have a pretty big crush on Leon. He wasn't very good at hiding it, however; Kaye, Cristina, Taylor and Leon all eventually figured it out. It was even worse, because Andy wasn't out yet, and the last thing that he wanted was for anyone to think that he was ever even going to try and act on his feelings. Leon, however, wasn't awkward about it at all, and they both got over it pretty soon. They kind of look back and laugh about it, now.
Role in a Disney movie
The character that has about ten lines, but still ends up being the most memorable character of the entire movie.
What or who inspired you to create them?
[ oh god. little baby Andy has changed SO much from his 2012 creation. I always knew that i was going to kill him off from the moment that i created him, but he was always the ‘quiet / nice guy’ kind of character. tbh though, he was supposed to die much earlier. firstly, in the third book, then it was postponed until the fourth and then AGAIN to the fifth. he was also originally supposed to be straight (ha) and have an unrequited crush on Cristina for the first half of the series AND they were going to have a ~thing~ after Leon died, but that was obviously scrapped. his name was originally Nick and he had no prior connection to the rest of the character i.e he literally came out of nowhere lmao and then he’d just join the team, basically. everything about his reluctance to fight and his depression was totally knew. ]
When did you create this character?
If your character has a significant other, what would their song be?
Black River - Wolfgang // Bayou - Mountains of the Moon
What was your character like as a child?
As a child, Andy was fairly quiet and totally shy. He would go out of his way to avoid social interaction at all costs. The friends that he made were usually people that he'd been paired up with in class, or family friends that he had been introduced to. Even the 'friends' that he did have weren't really considered true friends and instead, felt obligatory.
What is something other people assume about your character?
That he is super shy and rarely talks. Which is a little true, but once you get past that, he's a great person to be around.
Do they like the name they were given?
He thinks that it's fine. It's just that non-Korean speakers have trouble pronouncing it. Andy is a lot easier to go by, and he introduces himself as such.
Fiddling with the end of his shirt, shoving his hand into his pocket, avoiding eye contact and stuttering. Let's face it: this boy is nervous about 80% of the time.
Korean & English.
None, though Kaye is pretty much the sister that he never had.
No. He doesn't hate it or anything; he just doesn't wear it much.
Have they ever wanted to commit suicide?
He and Taylor had been best friends since they were sixteen years old. Kaye, Leon, and Rosa have always been close friends of his. He grows closer to Cristina throughout the series.
As a child, what did they want to be when they grew up?
Something involving Languages.
First kiss? (when and with whom)
Noah. At the end of one of their dates they had walked to Andy's house together. Andy was fumbling at the door, not knowing whether he should invite Noah in or not, since he didn't want to say goodbye so quickly. Noah had a meeting soon afterwards, anyway, but Noah eventually kissed him at the door. It was beautiful and magical and perfect and it made Andy fall in love with him even more.
Glass half full or half empty?
Half full. Until Noah dies (or just the entirety of the fourth book); then it's half empty.
Belief in an afterlife?
He didn't really, but he did have a feeling that something happened once you died. He certainly never believed in Angels. Or Demons for that matter.
Do they stand up for what they believe in?
He's a queer, disabled person of colour. Certainly, yes.
How much do they value money?
Not too much. As long as he's able to support himself comfortably, it's fine.
Wants to get married?
Not for a while. He's thought about it, but he'd rather be in a more stable position before getting married.
What's their one big kink?
Lip biting & really intimate foreplay.
Cat or dog person?
Dogs; but he likes cats just as much.
Is their name a pun of anything?
Han manes "country" or "leader", which only vaguely matches. Andy did lead the rescue mission for Noah, while Andy literally means "man". Seung-Hyun roughly translates to "ascend virtuous," though the meaning changes depending on the Hangul.
Anyone they really hate?
Julian Watersmith. Dear God.
How has their look/design changed over time?
He hasn't really changed the way that he looks in his past years, except that he's been wearing his hair has grown far longer over time. He's now able to tie it up into a ponytail.
Most traumatic experience?
Watching Hien's house burn down was the worst thing that he's ever witnessed, but thank goodness that Hien didn't die.
Nothing really from his past life.
Are they ticklish?
Do they play any instruments?
He actually quite talented at the piano - Kaye has pointed out his skills, and they've played together before. Andy enjoys it, but he hasn't played in quite some time.
Coke or Pepsi?
Ravenclaw. Despite the fact that everyone thinks that he's a Hufflepuff, Andy is a Ravenclaw and he knows it. He's always valued knowledge and learning, and he loves looking for new ways to try things. While he doesn't always voice it, Andy can come up with pretty intelligent ideas and plans.
As cliché as it sounds: new years eve.
He chose the name Andy, because Seung-Hyun reminded him too much of his old life (and non-Korean speakers had much difficulty pronouncing it.) He felt that Andy suited him much better. He also gets called "Nemo" by Kaye and Noah a lot, since, just like him, Nemo has one hand. Or fin.
If they could have one thing in the world?
He'd have Noah back. Or he'd go back in time to stop Taylor from dying, so that none of this ever would have happened.
Would they dare kill someone?
He likes to think that he wouldn't, but he would if it truly came down to it. Once Kaye dies, Andy goes on a rampage to the point where even his own friends are pretty frightened by him. He doesn't end up killing the Demon who killed Noah, but he does end up killing Jade; the Demon that kidnapped and tested on Noah in the first place and who killed Kaye. He's not at all proud of what he did. Only Rosa knows, because she was the one who was with him at the time. It still haunts him that he did so.
Body modifications? (Piercings, implants, tattoos etc.)
None. Well, he doesn't consider his prosthetic a modification.
